ISM–CV Thomas Award "A qualified recipient for the Thomas Award is considered based on their outstanding contribution through ISM—Carolinas–Virginia, Inc., to civic or educational activities, and towards the advancement of the purchasing profession." The Thomas Award recognizes the “Most Outstanding ISM–CV Member.” Established in 1939 by W.G. Thomas, ISM–CV's first President, its purpose is to acknowledge outstanding contributions and meritorious service, encourage individual enterprise, and stimulate more active thinking by those who work to advance the supply management profession.
Charlie has been selected for his overall participation and contributions and his commitment to representing and promoting ISM–CV and the purchasing profession. He serves on both the ISM–CV and the Richmond Metro Chapter boards of directors as he did while a member of NAPM–VA. Board of Director Positions Held
Charlie shares his love and knowledge of supply chain management while instructing C.P.M. Exam Prep Classes. He has prepared handouts and study materials for 2-day classes per module in Fall 2003 (Innsbrook/Richmond), Spring 2005 (Innsbrook/Richmond), Spring 2006 (Innsbrook/Richmond), Winter 2007 (Christiansburg), Fall 2007 (Innsbrook/Richmond), Spring 2008 (Charlottesville), and Fall 2008 (Innsbrook/Richmond). Congratulations Charlie for demonstrating that you are a go-to person, offering direction, solutions, and assistance to your colleagues.
