Scholarship Program
Intent
To award scholarships to members of NAPM-VA who are pursuing further education in the Supply Management Profession.
Objectives
- Encourage continuous education in purchasing and supply management,
- Offer assistance to those demonstrating need, and
- Help develop instructors to teach and conduct research in purchasing and supply management
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a member of NAPM-VA in good standing
- Applicant must be seeking a scholarship for education in the purchasing and supply management field
- Applicants will be eligible for one (1) scholarship per six month period
- Each award will be capped at $500.00
Award Procedure
- Provide a written request clearly explaining the need for the scholarship and describe the name of the course, class, seminar, etc. the dates and the name and address of the institution providing the training.
- Complete and submit the form below or mail or fax the request to the Executive Secretary of NAPM-VA who will forward it to the Professional Development Committee for recommendation to the Board of Directors.
- The Board of Directors will vote on the request and the Executive Secretary will notify the applicant of the outcome.
